Dr. Melton has practiced obstetric and gynecologic medicine since 1981. Educated at Hendrix College, University of Arkansas for Medical Sciences, and Tulane University School of Medicine, he is a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics and Gynecology.
Dr. Melton has full staff privileges at White River Medical Center in Batesville, Arkansas.
Dr. Melton has a strong interest in keeping current with the latest technology, with focus on minimally invasive surgical procedures. He has extensive training with the Lynx® mid-urethral sling for treatment of female urinary incontinence, Essure® for in-office tubal sterilization, and the in-office HTA® endometrial ablation system for treatment of heavy menstrual periods. Dr. Melton has also trained with the da Vinci® Robotic System. This robotic system allows a minimally-invasive approach to an otherwise complex open surgical procedure.
